@Mini If you don’t have the same settings that was shown in the video, the link below is the other method to connect to 5GHz for 5GHz supported devices that has no option:

Basically you need a 5GHz router/modem in order for your phone to detect 5GHz Wi-Fi signal. You need to configure the settings of your router/modem to toggle 5GHz. If your router/modem doesn’t have the option to enable 5GHz then that means that your router/modem only supports 2.4GHz and you need to get a router/modem that supports 5GHz.

Thank you very much. For more questions just ask anytime. Have a nice day. 👊🏻🙂

Good evening po. How about pag i-unhide ang network?

      3. If may add network, pabukas.
then type the info sa wifi na kokonekan (make sure na security type is tama din) at wag muna e save.
      4. If may advanced options sa baba, pabukas.
      5. If may option na “Hidden Network” papindot po tas select “Yes”

There are too many options to choose, from Xiaomi, Infinix, Realme etc…That’s why I could not suggest one as based on the price range that you’ve stated above (in rupees if I’m not mistaken), lots of phones in that range supports 5GHz. However, if you have any phones of interest in your mind, you can comment it here anytime and I’ll check it for you if it supports 5GHz. 👊🏻😀

Hi Could you please explain, How To disable 2.4 GHz on Xiaomi note 10 MIUI 12.1.3 ? I have dual band wifi router but want to connect only with 5Ghz. Thanks.

    • 31.08.2020 at 18:38
      Permalink

Hi there. There are two ways to disable or to avoid connecting to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

•The First method is to: Forget” the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network in settings.

-If you are connected to both 2.4 and 5GHz networks. You need to disconnect “forget” the 2.4GHz. Once you are disconnected, you can no longer connect to 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi as you need to retype the password for the wifi network.

      • The Second method is: To go into the configuration settings of your router/wifi. You need to type the IP address of your router/modem on your browser so that you can manipulate its settings. If your router/modem is dual-band, there’s should be an option to turn-off the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi SSID and leave the 5GHz Wi-Fi SSID enabled. Once you turned off the 2.4GHz. Your phone can only see the 5GHz Wi-Fi network.

Visit/View the stamped time below as an example, note: router UI settings may vary.

Hi. I know that might be completely irrelevant but do you know how to fix buffering issues whilst watching videos using bluetooth earphones?? Any assistance will be much appreciated!!

    • 31.08.2020 at 18:42
      Permalink

Good day, No worries. The buffering issues that you are experiencing when using bluetooth earphones is due to the interference of the wifi and the bluetooth, buffering usually happens when the wifi is operating in 2.4GHz and the bluetooth is also operating in 2.4GHz band. Also, if you are near in a television, oven, speakers, refrigirators, etc.. it can also cause the interference.

In order to lessen/reduce the buffering, I suggest to try the following:

      • Connect to 5GHz Wi-Fi network
-This can solve the interference problem. In short, dont use the same frequency band as Bluetooth devices,. So using 5GHz in smartphone will no longer interfere with the bluetooth as they are no longer in the same band which is the 2.4GHz.

      •Change your Wi-Fi Channel
      – Routers/modems has the option to select their wifi-channel in its configuration settings. The channel ranges from 1 to 11 in 2.4GHz. I recommend choosing 1,6,11 channel as they are non-overlapping ones.

      • Move away much further from the router/modem and other electronic devices
      – With a proper distance, interference can be reduced if you are not in a crowded/overlapped bands, so consider moving away much further away from speakers, fridge,TV etc..might be helpful as well.

Thank you very much. For more questions, just ask anytime. Have a nice day. 👊🏻🙂

Yang method na po ay para sa 5GHz supported na devices na walang advanced setting na option.

Magkaiba lang po settings sa router/modem. Mostly po kasi 2.4GHz lang ang router/modem galing sa carriers.
